Rohini B Allemand, Edits and Proofreading

“Hi! My name is Rohini and I work with Education Choices Magazine as one of the Assistant Editors. I recently achieved a first in BA English Language and Linguistics from King's College London, and will be retaining my position as an editor at Education Choices Magazine. I have completed a remote one-month internship assisting both the editorial and marketing departments at an academic publishing firm, where I compiled multiple contact lists for an upcoming manuscript and proofread academic manuscripts in their entirety. I also currently freelance as a proofreader for an audio transcription service. I look forward to utilising these acquired skills in my work with this magazine, and I’m so excited to be continuing to work with this fantastic team!”

"Hi! My name is Joe and I have been working for ECM for 4 years.  After graduating from Exeter with a degree in History and International Relations, I have continued working as part of the magazine, and have taken on a more serious role as Head of Accounts and outreach over the past year. I am very excited for the year ahead and can't wait to see what we can achieve!"

Carys Richards, Assistant Editor

"Hi! My name is Carys, and I recently graduated with an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature from The University of Manchester. In the past, I've edited academic journals and zine projects, written reviews for an online theatre publication and I volunteer with Girlguiding UK. I'm excited to bring this experience to my new role with ECM and looking forward to working with the team."

Hannah Williamson, Assistant Editor

"Hello, I’m Hannah! I am very excited to join Education Choices Magazine as an Assistant Editor. I have experience in a range of publications, from book reviews and journalism to academic essays. Having just graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in English Language and Literature, I am passionate about a career in the editing and publishing industry and am excited about working with the ECM team."

Imaya Turner, Assistant Editor

"Hello! I’m Imi, and I’m so excited to be joining Education Choices Magazine as an Assistant Editor. I recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in English Literature, where I also worked as an Academic Writing Mentor, proofreading and collaboratively editing a wide range of student papers. Beyond my studies, I have performed as Principal Flautist in orchestras, gained behind-the-scenes experience in film production, and written on arts and culture for online platforms. I enjoy working in schools too, helping to inspire creativity and confidence in young people. Bringing together my critical and creative perspectives, I’m looking forward to contributing my ideas to the ECM team."

Grant Lucas, Magazine Designer

"Hello – my name is Grant Lucas, and I’m delighted to join as the new designer for Education Choices Magazine.

I’ve been in publishing for many years – specialising in magazine design – and have experience in all aspects of graphic design, working for clients in the UK, Europe and the U.S.

I look forward to taking this successful magazine forward and working with such an enthusiastic and energetic team."

Emma Charleston, Podcast Editor

“I am a freelance graphic designer and illustrator with over 12 years experience working for a wide range of clients. I have spent much of my career working in the education sector, including international college group Kings Education, Hopscotch Consulting — who design educational materials in collaboration with companies and third sector organisations, and a number of other education clients like King’s College London’s students' union, London Metropolitan University's students’ union, NYMAZ, Whole Education, and illustrating books on phonics for children with special education needs. I also have some audio expertise and am delighted to work on editing the Education Corner podcast episodes each month!”

Rebecca Dickson, Education Choices Advisor

“I love working with Education Choices Magazine. After 20 years of working in the educational system, both here and the Bahamas, I have finally become part a team of open minded, inspiring people who are passionate about education and making sure we offer the best and most diverse advice we can. ”

We are thrilled that Rebecca Dickson, who has worked as a part of our team for over 4 years, continues to be with us!
